40 Days for Life Spring vigil
Vigil for Life announced Wednesday that it will hold its first ever
40 Days for Life Spring vigil at the Madison Surgery Center (1 S. Park Street) from February 17 to March 28.

Unlike previous 40 Days campaigns at Planned Parenthood, this vigil will not go overnight. It will begin each morning at 6 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. Signs will be allowed, but are not mandatory for participation.

"The Lord has staved off this abomination for a year now," said VFL's Laura Karlen. "It is our prayer and our hope that 40 Days of
continuous prayer in front of the Madison Surgery Center can put a permanent end to these grisly plans."

Nearly 1,000 hour-long prayer shifts will need to be filled. Contact Steve Karlen at 608-445-2063 to register for hours.

Oshkosh Christian School and Valley Christian High School will host their annual Benefit Auction, 'A Night to Soar' Saturday, March 13 at the Oshkosh Convention Center.

Doors open at 6:00PM, with dinner served at 7:30, followed by the live auction beginning at 8:30. There will also be a silent auction and entertainment throughout the evening.

Christian Women’s Steppin’ Out Conference
The 3rd annual Christian Women’s Steppin’ Out Conference will be held at the Rodeway Inn in Tomahawk, WI on Friday evening, March 19th & Saturday morning March 20th.

Registration is at 5:30 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday with sessions starting at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. respectively. Cost is $20 per meeting or $25 for both gatherings. Registration deadline is March 14th.

This year’s theme is Living in the Glory. The conference speaker will be Dr. Cheryl Dixon, a licensed, ordained minister with Dr. Mark T. Barclay Ministries. In 2006, Dixon was the recipient of an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Jameson Christian College. She and her husband, Dr. Gary Dixon pastor Abundant Life Outreach Ministries in Eagle River, Wisconsin.


Music will be provided by contemporary Christian singer, Christy Hamby of Austin, Texas and the Abundant Life Worship Team.
