Winning the War Within

Q: How do we win the war that wages within us, as Paul wrote about in Romans 7: 18-20?

First offlets take a look at these verses and see just what they have to say. (KJV). Romans 7:18-20... For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do...Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Now lets look at this same verse in the New Living Translation (NLT) Romans 7:18-20. I know I am rotten through and through so far as my old sinful nature is concerned. No matter which way I turn, I cant make myself do right. I want to, but I cant.. When I want to do good, I dont. And when I try not to do wrong, I do it anyway..But if I am doing what I dont want to do, I am not really the one doing it; the sin within me is doing it.

These verses pretty much explain the battle raging within the hearts and minds of every one of us human krittersboth Christian and Non-Christian alike. The Bible tells us in Phillipians 4:8.
