Heartbeat of the Home Author Nominated for Reviewers Choice Best Inspirational Novel

Romantic Times has nominated Cynthia Ruchtis debut effort They Almost Always Come Home for the 2010 Reviewers Choice Best Inspirational Novel.

They Almost Always Come Home is the story of a womans search for her missing husband and her own internal exploration. When Libbys husband Greg fails to return from a two-week canoe trip to the Canadian wilderness, the authorities soon write off his disappearance as an unhappy husbands escape from an empty marriage and unrewarding career. Their marriage might have survived if their daughter Lacey hadnt diedand if Greg hadnt been responsible.

Libby enlists the aid of her wilderness-savvy father-in-law and her faith-walking best friend to help her search for clues to her husbands disappearanceif for no other reason than to free her to move on. What the trio discovers in the search upends Libbys presumptions about her husband and rearranges her faith.

Of her nomination, Ruchti comments, When I first met They Almost Always Come Homes main character Libby, I knew I would have to accompany Libby on her journey in order to tell her story authentically. Her canoe slid through the water as she sought her answers. But an honor like a nomination for the RT Inspirational Book of the Year feels more like shooting the rapids for this grateful author.
