Zombie Homes in Milwaukee

Editor, Wisconsin Christian News:
   A story in the recent Milwaukee Journal detailed zombie homes: homes without owners or in process in foreclosures.  There are about 400 or so, states the Journal.
   According to Mayor Barrett the problem is big and complicated, which he pretty much indicated that they have not been able to solve.  
   Ineptness is standard with Barrett, so let us ask the questions that the Journal should have asked:
   Who, what, why, where and when?  These things are not covered in the article and in fact almost nothing is covered.  Evidently the Journal likes Barrett so much that the reporters are either scared of him, or incompetent when dealing with Barrett and the leaders in the Milwaukee mayor’s office.
   There are good reasons that Milwaukee is one of the ten worst managed cities in the country.  Forbes ranks it in the top ten most violent.
   First we ask “Who?”   Who is in charge of the place?  What have they been doing?  New York has 900,000 or so buildings. They have data analyses for all of them, in order to ascertain where crime might pop up, where fights may occur and other problems.  It appears to me that Barrett not only does not have  this minimal knowledge but is just thinking about it.
