Why Are We Normalizing Deviancy?

   With ‘gay marriage’ now being legal in more than half a dozen states and GLSEN   teaching our children in public school that homosexuality  and “transgenders” should be celebrated, and TV making it appear that homosexuals are “all over the map,” it seems that Americans are buying the lies that homosexuals are a big part of our population.  
   But are they really?  The August 2014 issue of the U.S. Journal carried information put out by the National Health Interview  survey which painted a very different picture about the number of people who call themselves ‘gay or lesbian.’   It discovered that just 1.6 percent of adults self-identify as gay or lesbian, and just 0.7 consider themselves bisexual. 
   These numbers refute those usually quoted about “l0%” being gay or lesbian.  (People who try to make a point often lie to make their claims seem more acceptable!)  The reasoning goes thus...”if l0% of Americans are gay or lesbian, the rest of us surely can’t be anything but loving and accepting -- that would be bigotry and we can’t tolerate that!) Nearly 34,000 people were surveyed and because of this large number, the Survey is considered to be a very accurate estimate of the population!
