APPLETON, Wis.
The event has become a favorite for shelter staff and hospital emergency room workers who watch carefully for clients/patients in crisis or lacking adequate clothing and who clearly need a Christmas Care gift.
91.9/91.5 The Family wishes to thank the many volunteers and groups who stepped up to help, as well as everyone who filled a shoe box, inspected, sorted, and delivered them. Area residents were invited to fill a wrapped shoe box with “something warm, something fun, something useful, and something yummy” for someone in need, to label their gift for the age and gender of the recipient, and to deliver gifts to local collection sites by Dec. 9.
Christmas Care is co-sponsored, in very active ways, by Culver’s Frozen Custard of Darboy and Little Chute, Festival Foods Stores, Thrivent Financial, Pet Supplies “Plus” of Appleton, and Fox 11 WLUK. More informat ...
