Professional Sports: Not As They Appear

   I would like to comment on the strong connection many people have with professional sports and the spiritual implications of this. 
   Competition is healthy and good and fun to participate in and to watch, in my opinion, when it is a fair fight.  I have recently become aware that there is a great deal of proof that these professional sporting events are not fair and free competitions.  
   The Fix is In by Brian Tuohy, (http://thefixisin.net/book.html) researcher and author, confirmed without doubt that fixing is well established in all pro sports. A few comments:  He established that the most vulnerable point is the referees. In football, no one really knows what a fair catch is anymore. Obfuscation of rules has become the norm by supposedly being so concerned with fairness that they instituted game reviews.  Enter the controversial debates over what is and isn’t fair, endlessly debated by fans in all places, as well as in the official quarters.
