Feminism, The Patriarchy and the Demonizing of Men, Maleness and Masculinity

   Why is the demonizing of men and maleness a critical issue to understand? The reason I believe is related to what is clearly an epidemic of leadership in Washington D.C, on the State and local levels, in our communities and in our homes. Why is this important? The reason can be summed up in that without the proper use of masculine power and fathers and men who know how to set limits and keep evil out of our homes, our communities and our nation, the spirit of accusation, lies and deception has an open doorway. Witness the declining institution of the family, the allowing of filth into our media, the sleaziness of our political system in Washington, the legalizing of mood altering substances by certain states, the dumbing-down of our understanding of the institution of marriage and the list goes on.
   How have these realities come to be and is there a common thread running through them. Clearly, God’s truth as conveyed by the Christian bible does not approve of any of these destructive patterns we see encroaching on our society. Just as clearly, the separation of Church, state and everything else in our culture is at the core of these events. Perhaps not as apparent, however, is another causative factor related to whose responsibility it is in the family to lead. We all know that in God’s plan, the father is supposed to shoulder this role.
