Today is the day that we all must stand up and ban the sale of baby body parts. We must move forward with the Personhood Amendment in Wisconsin and throughout this country. We must also defund Planned Parenthood on a federal level without delay and close any loopholes at the state level. There is no moral or ethical argument left to oppose the granting of Personhood Rights to the unborn from conception. It has now been established: abortions are not simply getting rid of “inconvenient” tissue. Hearts and livers and brains from these tiny human beings are in demand and are being harvested. That should shock the conscience of every American. There is no excuse left for our federal or state tax dollars to be used to fund the torture, death and organ procurement of these innocents. The executives at Planned Parenthood themselves have irrefutably proven that abortion is not about choice; it is rather, about the Almighty Dollar. In July the video of one Planned Parenthood executive’s cold, casual and callous description of the organ procurement process of baby body parts stunningly revealed to a nation immersed in denial that we have allowed evil to reign in our country. The horrific suffering that has been perpetrated upon the most vulnerable in our society has been exposed. It is not about personal choice and the autonomy of women; but rather, it is nothing more than old fashioned greed. And, that greed has motivated the actions of those whose consciences are seared by the desire for wealth and power.
In all medical procedures, except for abortion, in order for decision-making to be valid under the law, there must be sufficient information given to patients so that the person or their family can fully comprehend the extent of the procedures and risks. Then if they proceed with the medical procedure they have legally assumed the risk. But if there is not “informed consent,” because information has been intentionally withheld, then physicians can be held liable for the consequences of a medical procedure where the risks were not fully disclosed. It is now clear that women have been intentionally lied to and deceived about the “clump of cells” they were ridding their bodies of. The videos of Planned Parenthood openly discussing the procurement terms reveals that the hearts and livers of these babies are fully formed. If women knew the truth before the abortion, many would refuse the procedure. That is also why Planned Parenthood lies and fights against ultrasounds or sonograms of the babies in their mothers’ wombs.
The rights of the unborn to not experience excruciating pain as they are torn limb from limb and to not be crushed in “just the right place” so as to preserve their most precious and valuable commodities-hearts and livers- must now trump any argument that women have a right to choose. Planned Parenthoods' abortionists slaughtering of the unborn for profit must be stopped.
If a seismic shift in the abortion debate does not occur around America’s kitchen tables across this country this summer, then we have become a nation of cold-blooded monsters. When did we hear of Hitler’s Joseph Mengele selling the organs of the unborn by harvesting them through the most painful and barbaric methods imaginable? Who would not turn away in sheer horror if ISIS exacted similar deaths upon its Christian captives?
Soon women will be paid to become pregnant for the express purpose of having an abortion in order to feed the growing demand for harvested organs of her unborn babies. The transplantation breakthroughs of preborn baby body parts are on their way to creating a never-ending demand for these tender, yet to be born, beating-hearts. This will in turn lead to a never ending demand which will fuel the abortion rates of late term babies. The demand for these organs world-wide will drive this burgeoning industry of baby body part production and harvesting.
Lest you have doubts regarding the likelihood of this proposition, do not forget that in 2009-2010, we in the pro-life community in Wisconsin stopped our own UW-Madison Medical Department from creating a joint venture that was exposed when it was revealed that it was going to take over Planned Parenthood's practice in Madison. Their plan even included forcing medical staff to participate in the procedures. Once this plan was exposed we learned that the planners had brazenly announced that they were going to do about 100 late second trimester abortions a year. Ask yourself, how would they have known the number of these late second trimester abortions that would be needed? How likely is it that the population of Wisconsin itself could support that many “naturally occurring circumstances” that would lead to late second trimester abortions?
If you needed a heart transplant in order live, would you accept an aborted baby’s heart? If you answered yes, I am afraid you have bought the masterful lie that your life or your loved ones life, is more important that another human being’s suffering and death. Consider carefully that eventually the demand for baby hearts and livers and brains will drive the recruitment of woman to become pregnant in order to feed the demand for late term abortions for the intentional procurement of baby body parts.
Wisconsinites stood up and did the right thing six years ago. People of faith, people of conscience, stand up now for the sake of these little tortured souls. Let us ban the sale of Baby Body Parts. Let us give complete Personhood Rights to the unborn and let us defund Planned Parenthood completely. Choice be damned-this is only about the money! Let us remove that motivator once and for all.
