Summer Christian Arts Festival Shaping Up

GREENWOOD, Wis.
   Athanatos Christian Ministries is hosting a festival featuring music, film, writing, and other artistic forms, along with engaging seminars covering provocative topics.  The event will be held in Greenwood, WI, August 4-7.  
   The featured artists are diverse.  Musical acts include Sean Michel, who is known for his appearance on American Idol season 6 and classical guitarist Alyssa Catlan.  On the film side, Mark Spence, a member of Ray Comfort’s ministry, “Living Waters” will be screening their upcoming movie, “How to Get an Atheist Thinking.”  A slew of award winning authors such as Joseph Courtemanche and Jamie Greening will be present.
   Engagement and entertainment are both on the schedule.  A series of seminars will cover topics ranging from arguments for the truthfulness of Christianity, ending human trafficking, and the interplay between faith and technology.  Workshops for writers, musicians and actors are also being offered.
   Anthony Horvath, the Executive Director of ACM, says that the purpose of the festival is to provide a venue for Christians of all art forms and encourage artists to think carefully about how to best engage a culture that is becoming increasingly hostile to Christians and Christianity.
