   You are probably also tired of the many fad diets out there.
   Here is some common sense material on taking it off and keeping it off.
   Twenty years in the wellness industry has revealed to me a lot of myths.
  • Myth:  Fat is making us fat.
   In the ‘90s, we were misinformed by the media that fat was making us fat. We were given the green light to eat anything with the magic words “fat-free” or “reduced fat.” Food manufacturers responded by filling the supermarkets with non-fat products.  Did that fad diet make us thinner? I’m afraid not. In fact, it was the beginning of a whole lot of dis-information and a great deal of sickness and thousands of cholocstectomies. (gall-bladders in their prime sent to the bio-hazard bucket).
   We need to eat fat in order to feel satiated. If we avoid fat, we are constantly hungry. If we’re always hungry, it is nearly impossible to maintain your weight, much less lose it.
