What are fathers facing today when their wives, fiancées or girlfriends become pregnant? Forty years ago, if an unexpected pregnancy occurred, a man stood by his significant other and faced the pregnancy with her. Some couples married. Some made arrangements to place the child with relatives or for adoption. However, today, with abortion laws as they currently stand, a father has NO rights to the future of his child. Roe v. Wade has seen to that. Fathers help conceive a child, but once conceived, the father is totally excluded from that child’s future unless the couple, married or otherwise, place the interests of the child before all else.
