What Can You Do to Stop the Infiltration of Porn?

   Porn is rampant in today’s society. According to Huffington Post, porn sites get more visitors each month than Netflix, Twitter and Amazon combined.  InternetSafety101.org reports that the average American boy is exposed to porn at age 11.
   What can you do to stand up against porn and protect your family from it?
Teach your children the harmful effects of porn. 
   Much research is being done on the effects of porn on the human brain and how it shapes the brain to view human beings as objects. 
   Porn users are more likely to have difficulty in relationships.  Divorce, separations, and break-ups are common in relationships where porn is used. 
   Verbal, physical and sexual abuse are more likely to occur in relationships where porn is used. In males, porn can lead to problems in males such as Erectile Dysfunction.
Know where to draw the line. 
   Many movies today feature nudity and other explicit sexual material. Before you go see a movie or rent a movie, check to see what the content is. Websites like imdb.com, pluggedin.com, and commonsensemedia.org will fill you in.
   When viewing something that may be questionable, consider the reminder: This is someone’s son or daughter. This is not someone to be exploited.
Use an Internet filter.
