Titles and Denominations Won't Save You

   The Scriptures do not tell us to circumvent the Gospel of your salvation by asking Jesus to forgive our sins before we are members of His church.  That along with being clothed and united with the Christ, and becoming a member of His Church, are the primary reasons for water baptism, (Acts 2:38, Galatians 3:27, and Romans 6:1-10).  

   However, once you are a member of His un-named Church, should you deliberately sin, then you must confess and repent of it, then He will forgive your sin, (1 John 1:19).  Members of His Church are warned that if we keep on deliberately sinning, then there is no forgiveness left of sin, only an expectation of judgment and raging fire, (Hebrews 10:26-27).

   Most TV, and radio preachers, and denominational leaders offer you ways other than God’s way to have your sins forgiven, and don’t offer you a way to become a member of the Savior’s Church.  Instead, they beseech you to become a member of their denomination.  The word “denominate” means to name something.  Neither Jesus, nor any of the Apostles gave a name to Christ’s Church.  

   You, and others can pray for your unbelief, but you cannot pray your way into the Lord’s Church.  You must comply with the Gospel message in Acts 2:14-41.  Giving yourself or som ...
