2018 Mother/Daughter Retreat

Complimentary Story
Trail Ridge Camp in Hillsboro invites all women and girls to its 2nd Annual “Mother/Daughter Retreat” beginning at 5pm on Friday, April 27 through the Sunday morning worship service on April 29. The theme of this year’s retreat is “Strength for the Journey.”

The guest speaker is Faith Schneider, wife of Jim Schneider, Executive Director of VCY. She is also “Aunt Faith” from the VCY Saturday morning program “Kids Talk.”  Faith will be discussing examples of Biblical women who overcame great adversity through strength from God.

Biblical women who exemplify strength and inspiration include Esther, Ruth, Mary, and Rahab. Though these outstanding Biblical women all made impacts on history, today’s women endure challenges just as strenuous and demanding. How a woman responds to these situations impacts families, as well as, society as a whole.

Faith will also discuss her love for her “special needs” son and how she draws strength from our Lord for this full-time care-giving job.

This weekend will include four different chapel sessions that will build you up and invigorate you to be ready for what life may throw at you and to help you be the woman God wants you to be.

Activities available depending on the weather are boating, archery, mini-golf, go-karts, crafts, and wagon rides. The game room and the snack shop will also be available for your pleasure.

This retreat will deepen the special bond between mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts, and friends.

Five meals are included this weekend starting with a Friday night supper and finishing up with a Sunday morning breakfast.

The cost of the weekend is $60 for ages 18 and older and $40 for ages 17 and younger. Space is limited and registration is required by Wednesday, April 18.

Trail Ridge Camp is located at S2695 Cherith Way in Hillsboro. Register online at trailridge.org. For more information call 1-800-729-9829 or email : info@trailridge.org
