The Gospel Has Power in the Hands of Children


   In South Africa, an 11-year-old girl enrolled in our Hope For Kids program. As she learned how to talk about her faith, she shared what she learned with her mother and grandmother. Shortly after, both adults accepted the free gift of eternal life. Today, all three are active members of their local church. 

   Children have a unique ability to share the Gospel that many adults often don’t possess. They have no fear, no inhibition. They understand the message of the Gospel and what it means for their friends who don’t know Jesus. They won’t hesitate to share that Good News with the people who matter to them most.

   Jesus commanded us to reach children of all ages around us. “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Mark 10:14 NIV). 

   Travis grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and got involved in gang activity when he was in grade school. A local church launched an after-school program where Travis and his friends heard the Gospel clearly for the first time. They also learned how to share their new faith in Christ. Travis left his gang and is now serving Christ with his family.
