Does God’s sovereignty bring us fear or peace? Do we feel it is a mere concept that can be rejected, allowing us in our own power to truly control our live, or is it a non-negotiable part of God’s character?

In the book of 1 Kings, King Ahab felt that he could reject the sovereignty of the Lord. He did not believe the Word of the Lord that was brought to him. In his human wisdom, he rejected the wisdom of God brought to him through the words of the prophet. The problem was, and still is for all of us today, that God’s sovereignty cannot be changed or manipulated. God is true to His Word and to His will.
