Walk for Life, Respecting Life

   The Walk for Life always falls on the first Saturday of October, during the month that most Christians know as Respect Life month. During October, time is taken for special articles, events, and services which help people recall and become aware of life for the unborn. As was reported last month by the state, Wisconsin still had 5,472 babies aborted in 2016.   That’s still too many babies dying. While abortion may be “legal,” it takes an unborn child’s life. 

   Through months such as October, Respect Life Month, and January, when the Roe v. Wade decision is remembered, which “legalized” abortion in the United States, people have learned over the years that the unborn child is NOT just a blob of tissue, but a living, breathing human being in the womb.  As you may recall, by 18-21 days, the unborn child’s heart is beating. By eight weeks, the unborn baby has all its body parts and is fully functional in the womb. The only thing that the baby needs is to grow is another seven months until his or her birth.
