Grieving Our Loss, While Praising Jesus

   Our hearts are sad as one of our own went to heaven to be with Jesus on September 21.  Seth Splitter was 20 years old, a young man who grew up as an RBC camper and then started helping as staff.  He mentored young men as a counselor, and we were so blessed by how he invested in people; taking time to minister to whomever God placed in His path that day. 

   This last August at RBC camp, at our Friday night campfire, he challenged the campers to know for sure they  were ready to meet the Lord — not knowing what tomorrow would hold. Seth met his wife, Seija, at RBC camp and actually proposed to her at camp in 2016.  Seth and Seija were so much in love, and inseparable. They were at every RBC retreat and camp and encouraged and loved our teens. They were married in March 2017.  They had settled in Elk Mound,  Wis. where Seth worked at a local farm. It was there that he died in a tragic farm accident. 

   His parents, grandparents, and siblings have also been a huge part of RBC over the years. His mom (Dennill Splitter) and grandma (Sue Rees/Amundson) served in the RBC kitchen. His sisters have been VBS teachers with RBC. We love this family so much, and we grieve with them as they mourn.
