The Sins of the Fathers, Part 3 (Genesis 8-9)

   When Noah stepped out of the Ark with the redeemed of creation which was a  great price, the death of all living creatures not on the ark, God commanded them to “go forth of the ark, thou and they wife, and thy son and thy sons wives with thee.  Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of the fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; (two of every kind) that they may freed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiple upon the earth… And God blessed Noah and his sons, and aid unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth” Genesis 8:16-17; 9:11.  

   A second chance was given to man, to preserve a faithful remnant that would love God with all their heart, soul, and mind, with all their strength.

   “And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord; and took every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offering upon the alter.  And the Lord smelled a sweet savor.”  Because of Noah’s faith with confidence, he obeyed God.  Out of gratitude for God’s abundant grace and mercy he offered the atonement sacrifice as a token of his faith in the covering made by the visible blood of the sacrifice.  Only a mind distorted by the knowledge of evil would see this any other way!  Noah was not seeking God’s favor, for he had already rece ...
