Defeating Satan

   God doesn't break promises. He is a Promise Keeper. He doesn’t say one thing and do something different. When we get out of the will of God and when we are disobedient to His Word and His guidance, it is at that time that we suffer the consequences of OUR actions. When we lean to our own understanding and not God’s Word, we get in trouble, therefore you can’t blame God and say He doesn’t keep His promises because of your disobedience.

   Satan can’t make you sin; therefore, you can’t say “the devil made me do it,” but he can surely tempt you and lead you astray.  However, you have a choice, you have free will to make the right choice. If the voices in your head are telling you to do something wrong, you know that is not the will of God, that’s the enemy. 

   Your mind is Satan’s playing field.  That’s where he does his most dangerous work — in our minds. When Satan promised Eve that she would become as God, knowing good from evil, if she ate the fruit from the forbidden tree, he tempted her, he didn’t take the fruit and place it in her mouth, he got into her head. 

   Whatever the case may be, Satan was casting doubt on God’s Word and character by telling Eve that God did not have her best interest in mind. Unfortunately, she believed him rather than God. Pray today for discernment.& ...
