Sharing Your Faith on Vacation

   Let’s face it. We all need a break and summer vacations are a great time to escape from the daily grind and get some much-needed rest. But when you leave, don’t leave one of the most important things behind – sharing your faith in Jesus Christ.  

   Vacations are a great opportunity to meet many different people at places like hotels, restaurants, and theme parks. Each person we meet is an opportunity to share our faith. So while you are planning one last get-away before the summer ends, be sure to include a plan to share the Good News you have found with someone else. 

1).  Invite God to join you. 
   Before you leave, pray together as a family that God will use you on this trip. Then pray daily on your trip for the people that you meet. God purposefully brings people across our path who need to hear that they can have hope in Jesus Christ. But the truth is, we walk past many of these divine appointments every day without ever realizing they are there. Prayer reminds us to pay attention and look for those opportunities. 

2).  Pack some extra resources. 
   Be sure to take Gospel tracts, copies of the Gospel of John, and a couple kids’ evangelism cubes with you when you travel. Leave tracts for hotel clean-up crews or for a waitress at a restaurant along with a generous tip. You never ...
