Skin In The Game

At our most recent and sparsely-attended TEA  Party meeting we discovered that in a city which has over 35,000 in population, there was literally no viable conservative or Christian candidates willing to run for city council and maybe one person for the local school board.  What are the odds of that? Oh, there are candidates, but none who wish to put a halt to our moral decay or that were concerned enough and willing to dare the wilds of opposing progressive fascists.

This weekend, during my morning walk I took the time to listen to the sermon from a local mega church in our area. This quickly turned out to be a surprisingly profitable idea because I definitely got more “exercised” by the pastor's squishy sermon than from the walk itself.  I thought to myself, is it no wonder that we are losing this culture war?  Is this parson living in a different universe?
