Walking For Life Matters

   Every year now, for 15 years, Bella Medical Clinic of Oshkosh (formerly known as Labor of Love) has held a Walk for Life.  It’s Bella’s 15th Anniversary of the walk! Have all the years of walking for life made a difference? Absolutely! The number of lives saved by raising community and Christian awareness, and provision of pregnancy services by Bella is never-ending. Participants in the walk may never know what impact their presence has on clients or passers-by.  But from my own personal participation in the walk, the number of car horn honks in support of the walkers seems to increase each year. lt’s not a perfect or scientific gauge of support, but awareness of life increases with each honk.  Who knows what the car horn-honkers tell their children, their families or their churches and coworkers?  The message for life increases with each discussion about life.

   How does the walk impact Bella’s services?  Many clients let Bella know what a difference its services have made in their lives and those of the children they have born. But many more never come back to Bella to let us know what the impact of Bella’s services and staff was. We do know that 95% of clients received an ultrasound a the clinic.
