When our American soldiers went to war during many generations of American history, Satan was dividing homes, husbands and wives, mothers and children, then children from one another.
Mothers were led away by tax-greedy governments to leave their children with those unable to love and nurture as only a mother could. (Even animals nurture their young when they were most vulnerable and protected viciously.)
But the fallout was in place, nurturing and love replaced by “lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life,” and enjoying more. So without nurturing and love and protection, the foundation of the children was destroyed by the prowling lion. To the weak and vulnerable Satan attacked and also devoured the fruit of the womb.
