Do You Really Love Jesus?

I speak with professing Christians every day and the majority of them are false Christians or “Sunday morning Christians” (and this includes pastors and elders!) Do YOU know the difference?  We are REQUIRED to know the difference to be an effective Christian and to do our job. How do you warn someone who has the wrong concept of the Gospel? How do you warn a brother who has stepped off the path of righteousness?

LOVE for Jesus Christ is shown in our OBEDIENCE to His Word. It is the ONLY WAY to love, know, follow, “believeth in” or to put our “faith and trust” in Jesus Christ. So, do you REALLY LOVE Jesus? If you DO, you will OBEY Him “in everything” (John 14:21, Matthew 28:20). God warns us that, whoever SAYS he knows Jesus but does not do what He COMMANDS, is a LIAR and there is NO TRUTH in him. (1 John 2:4).

According to Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ, only 2% of professing Christians in the U.S. are genuinely following the true Gospel while many are following false gospels (i.e. cheap grace, “easy believism”, “comfortable“ or “Sunday morning” Christianity, etc.).  Jesus said you must “deny yourself” (Matthew 16:24), “choose Him” over even your children and parents (Matthew 10:37) and put God FIRST (Matthew 22:37, Luke 10:27) “in everything.”
