Our Identity Crisis

   We live in a time where we divide along more than just cultural and economic lines. In this modern world we have been placed in, we face a battle for the heart of the culture as well as the individual. We clearly have been placed in this day and age by God because He has a job for each of us to do. God has called, equipped, and will continue to equip and direct us to a mission for which each of us have been uniquely created for. Though we serve a God who has called us into all truth, and out of confusion and condemnation, we live in a society obsessed with identity, and one which suffers from an identity crisis. We as a society have invented new terms to help create further divisions within society based on gender, political ideology, social and economic status, just to name a few. 

   There are those who are championing this movement who know all too well that the way to erode the strength of the bonds that hold the American people together is in getting people to separate and divide over a manufactured identity crisis.  As I mentioned, new terms have had to be invented, while the long-standing meaning of words have been twisted and tampered with to create a false reality where “up” is “down” and “black” is “white.”
