Pray For Teens and Young Adults Who Came to Christ

   We are feeling reflective after our 9th fall retreat as directors of RBC.  To be honest, it’s hard to see how nine years have gone by since we moved to Marshfield.  At that time, we had only Joey and Ameilya — who were 2 years and 6 months old. We see God’s hand in how He has graciously led us. So many people have mentored and supported us, and truthfully, we are just a small part of the whole, of those who work and serve to make the RBC ministry possible. We are very grateful for each of those people, including you all who support us in prayer and finances.

   Our fall teen retreat 2019 was sunny and mild, a blessing as the weather is often quite variable in Wisconsin this time of year. We had three different speakers.  Each gave a challenging message: Friday night we were reminded of man’s sinfulness and the holiness of God and how that should change our lives as believers in Christ. Saturday morning we heard about Peter, his denial of Jesus, and Jesus’ forgiveness extended to him. Saturday night and Sunday morning we had historical lessons about the Christian martyr Polycarp and the Huguenots. We talked about 1 John 2, and the importance of recognizing and acknowledging that Jesus is GOD.

   We are praying that our RBC teens and young adults who attended the retreat to be convicted of sin and encouraged to live fearlessly for Christ — living abundantly in joyfu ...
