No Fear of God Before Their Eyes

   Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Jesus Christ created everything, all the things that we see, every principle that mankind should live by, and when people disregard Jesus Christ they put themselves at risk of judgment when they die, and a distorted and demonic-led life here on earth. Read Ephesians 2.  Romans chapter one tells what happens to anyone that won’t acknowledge God. This is the fate of everyone because God has established this from the beginning.

   We as born-again Christians know we are saved because of the grace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ.  But do we understand that the fear of God is the beginning of God’s salvation through Christ?  We like the good news of grace and forgiveness because we enjoy this through Christ. But if a person does not have the fear of God in their hearts first, how can their eyes be opened to Christ’s salvation? Read through the first three books of Romans, and see that Paul makes the argument for the fear of God first, before he explains salvation and righteousness through Christ.  Jesus always challenged a person’s own righteousness before He said that everything is possible with God, not man.
