Are You Lukewarm?

   I often hear false (luke warm) Christians, and, sadly, even Christian leaders, use excuses like, “I’m praying for them,” “If the Holy Spirit guides me, I’ll do something,” “It’s not my calling,” “My children are my ministry,” “one is a ‘hand,’ one is a ‘foot,’”  ‘At least they are returning to heaven!”  etc., to justify their silence to the atrocity of abortion.

   However, if you actually processed through these excuses, you can see how transparently flimsy they are.

   First of all, to say, “I’m praying for them,” we should be praying “continuously,” but, there are many examples that we are to be DOING something as well unless we are unable to, NOT instead of. (James 1:22, 27; 1 John 3:18, Luke 10:25-37).

   If someone calls for help, you don’t yell back, “I’m praying for you!” You go help them!  And God makes it clear that He doesn’t even hear our prayers, and they are very offensive to Him when we continue to disobey Him (Proverbs 28:9, Isaiah 1:15, 59:2).

   For the ones who say, “The Holy Spirit is not guiding me,” when asked what the Holy Spirit IS guiding them in doing, the response is usually that their heads go down, with nothing to say. But, what COULD the ...
