Oh! My! Gog!

   From The Irish Times, December 27, 2019: “Ezekiel refers to Gog of Magog.  Revelation refers to Gog and Magog/Russia.  China and Iran launched their first joint naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean on Friday, in the latest sign of co-operation between the two US rivals and the Islamic republic, struggling under the strain of American sanctions.”

   Gog and Magog are mentioned together in only two places in the Bible: Ezekiel and Revelation.  Ezekiel refers to Gog of Magog; Revelation refers to Gog and Magog.

   The book of Ezekiel contains more dates than any other Bible book or biblical record.

   Taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar in 597 B.C., Ezekiel was called to prophesy and did so with other Jewish exiles in Babylon. Ezekiel witnessed firsthand the wickedness and disobedience to God by the Jewish people at that time and had warned them of their coming calamity. When it happened, the Jews were surprised. Just like the people in the days of Noah when it started raining. Just like the people of today will be who don’t know Ezekiel’s story.
