Judge Not?

Complimentary Story
“Judge not lest ye not be judged!”

The next time one of your “Christian” family or friends tells you, “Judge not lest ye not be judged,”  share with them that we are REQUIRED to judge each other, just righteously, not un-righteously.  Encourage them to read the rest of the Chapter (Matthew Chapter  7), in which Jesus tells us to “judge” ourselves FIRST so we are in a better position to SEE the “speck” in another’s eye.

When they say we should not judge, they are showing that they do not yet know God’s Word or their responsibility and mission as a Christian.

How are we able to warn someone who is following one of the many false gospels permeating throughout our culture, warn a brother who has stepped off the path of “righteousness” or warn a non-believer if we cannot discern (judge!) where they are at in their walk in faith?  We can’t!

We are UNABLE to effectively share the Gospel with someone or to warn them if they are doing something they are not supposed to be doing (or vice-versa!) because they BOTH require proper judgement!

We “judge” people every day i.e. who we trust in our homes, with confidential information, around our children, etc. God EXPECTS us to judge; He just wants us to do so righteously (“Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.” -John 7:24). And, if God expects us to judge for our “earthly” purposes, should we not for the kingdom of God?

With love, show them their misunderstanding, guide them to God’s Word, emphasizing the importance, significance and necessity of being in His Word daily (this a COMMAND, not a request, suggestion or option for Christians!) in having a correct understanding AND relationship with God AND our brethren, neighbors and enemies!

And DO NOT trust their guidance for YOUR faith!  Even if it is coming from your own parents, pastors, elders or others who claim to know what they are talking about.

If less than 5% of professing Christians are genuine Christians (according to Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ) and the GREAT MAJORITY of us received our understanding of our faith by either our parents or a pastor, this means 95% of them are WRONG!

We need to be in God’s Word DAILY! Not only is this a COMMAND but it is the ONLY WAY to honor, KNOW, love, obey, follow, believeth in or to put our “faith and trust” in our Savior!

You DO know this, don’t you?

If you don’t/didn’t, WHO are you trusting for your faith?  Will you continue to mislead your precious children (who will mislead THEIR precious children!) down the wrong path?

You do know WHERE the wrong path leads to, don’t you?

The ONLY WAY you can choose wisely is by being in God’s Word. That is what putting on the “full armor” of God is!

This world is not about US! Or our precious children! It is about Jesus Christ!

   To God be the glory!
