“And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them securely: Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in stocks. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and SANG PRAISES UNTO GOD: and the prisoners heard them.” Acts 16:23-25.
Many today, who receive Christ, do not SING as Paul when times get tough, and they turn to the world to set them free of the woe that besets them. As we go into the story hopefully we will see what we lack, and what we need in order to SING in times of trouble.
The whole of the story from Acts 16:20 through 16:40 is one amazing revelation. Being able to SING in a dire situation. What inspired them to SING?
