Matthew 5:11, “Blessed are ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for My sake.”
Over the many years that I have endeavored to walk as a man of God, to grow closer to Him through His Son and my Savior, Jesus Christ (Yashua), to grow in the knowledge of His Word, His marvelous grace, to better understand His laws and statutes, the more I have been falsely accused and slandered by those who simply do not desire to know the truth of His Word and to know the essence of His will.
To be quite honest, it sincerely did bother me and even discouraged me to a point. Of course, this fact just proves that I had not yet grown in Him adequately enough to know and understand that this type of persecution simply comes with the “territory.” That it is actually a badge of honor that is bestowed on very few so-called “Christians.”
My friend, in a society as evil as the one we are living in at the present time, I am certain that I can safely make the following statement: “If you are not being persecuted, mocked and laughed at by many, you are not walking righteously.” As a matter of fact, you are denying Christ every day!
