Can Democrats Be Christians?

   If we ask that question to the majority of Democrats in America, they will respond by saying, “My grandfather and my grandmother were very strong Christians, and they were Democrats. They voted all their life as Democrats.” That is true. But what happens when the Democratic Party leaves the standards, doctrine, and beliefs that your grandparents held? Can grandpa and grandma continue to vote for them?

   The answer may be yes, if they are not aware of the changes that have taken place in the party. Or no, because they already passed away a long time ago. The problem with the idea that since grandpa and grandma were strong Christians and Democrats, you must continue their legacy, is that you may not even know what the Democratic Party has become today.

   We are not talking about the Democratic Party of John F. Kennedy’s days. We are talking about the Democratic Party of today. Yes, Democrats and Republicans were once on the right track, close to the zero mark between positive and negative ideologies. But over the years, the Democratic Party has moved left. Sadly, the Republicans have also moved left to appease voters, not realizing that this shift makes the early Democratic Party’s ideology now seem radical, extreme, or fundamental.
