Legally Blind

   In addition to writing these articles for Wisconsin Christian News, I also send them to a mailing list of people who expressed an interest in receiving them.

   After my last emailed article, “Mirror, Mirror on the Wall,” two people politely asked to be removed from receiving my messages. I understand.  No one likes to be convicted! 

   Last year, the Dean of the Bible college I attended asked to be removed and stated  she was tired of all the negative talk about the Church. The true reason she wanted to be removed was, she didn’t like me calling a spade a spade. The truth hurts!

   I also had a pastor recently respond.  Here’s his comment: “In this church, we only talk about Jesus!” Apparently willing to turn a blind eye to all the evil right outside its doors where all its sheep work, live and play — leaving them easy prey for the enemy.  

   Back in the early ‘60s when I was a boy, our priest warned us in his sermon not to watch the upcoming “Sunday Night at the Movies” which aired every Sunday evening back then. The movie he warned us about was “On the Beach,” which depicted the end of the world by nuclear attack, which ran contrary to Scripture. 

   So, back in those days, pastors and priests had the courage to speak out against something as simple as a movie that ran contrary to Scripture.  But today’s pastors remain cowardly and silent on abortion, homosexuality, same sex “marriage,” the transgender movement and a host of other sins plaguing our nation. 

   Something sure has changed, for I do believe those sins also run contrary to Scripture.

   With this article, I’m including a picture of a banner of a local church “participating” in a local “Pride Fest.” Please note what this church professes per its own banner … including the statements:

   “In this congregation, we believe all genders are whole, holy and good.”

   “In this congregation, we believe women have agency over their own bodies.”

   “Do not be conformed by the way of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2).

   If you take a good look at this “church’s”  banner, it looks like it could serve as a backdrop for CNN or MSNBC networks. And not twenty feet from this church’s display booth, a drag queen was seductively dancing in front of a young family sitting at a picnic table. One of their young children anxiously held a dollar bill in his hand, waiting to put it in the drag queen’s “G-string” — all while mom and dad gleefully looked on.

   This is why I write these messages: for the Church has declared itself “legally blind” to it all!

   I also recently came across an article about a Presbyterian pastor who openly blesses abortion from the pulpit, stating to her congregation: “If Jesus was here today, He might say, ‘blessed are those who end their pregnancies.’”

   Today we have homosexual “pastors” occupying our pulpits, justifying their sin, making a mockery of God’s gift of marriage between one man and one woman. 

   We have “transsexual pastors” occupying our pulpits, making a mockery of God’s creation of man and woman. Today we have “pastors” promoting and advocating abortion from the pulpit!

   The REAL Church — the Body of Christ — is commissioned to be the “salt and the light” to an otherwise dark and lost world. Light can have nothing to do with darkness! The more light the churches give up, the darker the churches and our nation becomes.

   The modern American Church has lost so much light that it has declared itself “legally blind!”

   As a result of the Church declaring itself “legally blind,”  63 million innocent lives have been lost through abortion — and millions more continue to be lost. Immorality and debauchery are celebrated and condoned.  Our schools, libraries and in some cases churches, are no longer safe for our children and our country has gone from a God-fearing nation … to a godless nation!

   Pastor: whether you are willing to accept it or not, that is on you!  Church goers: whether you are willing to accept it or not, that is on you!

   In closing, I have a simple request that requires a simple “Yes”... or … “NO” response from all of you.

   Do you believe that evil has infiltrated the Church — deceiving many a pastor?

   If your answer is “yes” you should be sharing these articles — not asking to be removed from the mailing list.

   If your answer is “no,” then you, too, are “legally blind!”
