This month I am thankful for the editor of this newspaper, Rob Pue. I understand that this issue marks the beginning of the 27th year that Wisconsin Christian News has been published and distributed. I want to thank Rob for his seemingly untiring labor of love to inform, encourage, and at times convict fellow Christians, as well as witness to those who do not yet know the Lord. In 2 Corinthians 8, the Apostle Paul speaks with gratitude for the faithful service of Titus, recognizing his earnest care and willingness to serve. He writes, “But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you” (2 Corinthians 8:16). Paul understood that such diligence and care were not by accident, but the work of God in a willing heart.
It is a blessing to see that same kind of faithful labor still at work today. Week after week, year after year, this publication has been used to shine light in dark places, to speak truth in a world that often resists it, and to encourage believers to stand firm. That kind of consistency does not happen without effort, sacrifice, and a deep commitment to the Lord. It is easy to begin a work with enthusiasm, but it is another thing entirely to continue faithfully over many years, pressing on through challenges, opposition, and weariness.
