August 2026The Days of Noah. I first heard this term as a young boy in the ‘50s, last century. I can hear my mom preaching it, though I had no idea what it meant; but Jesus explained exactly what it meant.
“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
This pretty much sums up today’s world, not only the United States. God was making a point: Even though the signs of disaster are numerous, we continue to party, celebrate depravity and lots of hate going around. But we are not paying attention. Everyone loves to have fun. Like in the days of Lot. Like in the days of Noah.
I had an opportunity to watch a newly released movie (musical) yesterday, Daniel and the Kings. This is one of the best musicals I’ve seen, filmed in North Charleston, S.C. It is a 2026 release, but I received permission to share with you. It will refresh your knowledge of Daniel and his world, and how much it was like present day. Like the Days of Noah. At the time of Daniel’s later years, Babylon was much the same as in Noah’s Day. Nebuchadnezzar’s cruelty and corruption continued after his reign, with Amel-Marduk, also known as Evil-Merodach. It only got worse.
Are we living in a Days of Noah society? No book has inspired like the Holy Bible has inspired, a story of sin and forgiveness of sin, passion and compassion… until the straw that breaks the camel’s back. In Sodom, that sin was unnatural sex.
God wheeled and dealed with Lot, offering Sodom and Gomorrah and three other cities in the plains near the Dead Sea, several opportunities to survive; but Lot could find no one in Sodom to be worthy. There was no concern about an invisible God. Two male angels visited Lot, and the men of Sodom wanted them for sex. The last straw. The townsmen got blindness for their desires.
Bible prophecy is so far batting a thousand. The only prophecies not fulfilled deal with the End Times, Last Days, Day of Jacob’s Trouble. The apostles asked Jesus when this time would be. Jesus said only His Father in Heaven knew the answer, but did give signs that would happen, preceding these events, observable signs.
In Matthew 24:42, Jesus gives warning: “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.”
We should pay attention and realize that there is a time coming when it will be like the Days of Noah. There will be signs. There are signs. How many unprecedented climatic events does it take to know that God is talking to us, everyone in the world actually? And it is not manmade; it is God made.
In France, more than 5,700 people have died from the heat this summer. Unprecedented heat, according to historical data. Only 27% of homes have air conditioning.
Unprecedented heat, unprecedented flash flooding, unprecedented hailstones. As a kid, nickel-sized hailstones were considered large. There is a prophecy in Revelation that says the hail was the greatest plague of all in the Last Days, hailstones about the size of beachballs, up to 100 pounds.
So far in 2026, Texas holds the record with a 7.1” diameter hailstone. March 10, an Illinois hailstorm produced hailstones as large as 6.6.”
In the streets of major cities all over the world, there are anti-Semitic/pro-Hamas rioters. These are not “peaceful” demonstrations. It seems supernatural that this is happening, supernatural from the dark side.
Another prophecy about the End Times: Children will be disobedient and disrespectful to parents. Is this happening?
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
At the close of the Book of Revelation it ends with a promise, “Surely I come quickly.” The response from the believers: “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” And please hurry.
