Q: I have a friend who has a great testimony of how his life was immediately changed when he became a Christian. I have also accepted Christ as my Savior, but I have not experienced such a dramatic difference in my life...in fact, I really dont feel much different at all. Did I do something wrong? Am I not saved after all?"

A: Such dramatic changes, such as your friends story, are wonderful to hear and can be very exciting when it happens to you personally. When someone shares their experience of conversion and the details outline a dramatic change, we believe we easily see the hand of God moving. But does Gods hand move in other ways too?
When such a dramatic experience has not happened to you personally, it is understandable to wonder if anything at all happened at all when you came to faith. A person can wonder if their acceptance of Christ actually was real since it wasnt accompanied by such a rush of feelings or a tremendous change in life.
The Scriptures are clear that not everyone Christ called, He called the same way. Saul, the great persecutor of the infant Christian church, was blinded on the road to Damascus before he surrendered his heart to Christ. But Philip, one of the twelve disciples, seems to have had no such dramatic experience. Peters frequent failed journey to Christ was nothing like that of Matthews.
