Bridges to the Nations, a Madison-area missions organization, was recently blessed by a visit from a special Kenyan guest, Pastor Samson Nyameche. Bridges to the Nations supports indigenous ministries in Israel, India, Kenya and elsewhere, and is thrilled to be a part of Pastor Samsons work.Samsons story - from his poverty-stricken childhood to the recent violence in his home area - has moved many.

As a child, Samson Nyameches family was fatherless and incredibly poor. However there was much love in their home, and Samsons mother Wilfrida managed to always find a little extra food for the many street children who would come to their house in the slum.

Daily,Samsons family would pray to the sun, hoping for life to change, and Wilfrida would go to work to earn the pittance for her childrens food. One day, a missionary engaged Wilfrida in conversation and told her about Jesuslove and the sacrifice He had made for her. With great joy, she took the Good News home to her children! From that day forward, there was always joy and singing in the Nyameche home!

As the family shifted their focus toward the Son of God, prayers began to be answered and God began to shower them with wonderful blessings. Samson was blessed with shoes and a new school uniform, things he had never had before. These sudden provisions aroused suspicion in the community.
