'Don't Get So Defensive!' (Part 1)

Last month we discussed how to respond to those who ask tough questions, specifically when you do not have an immediate answer. This month I will share one more tip that will help you be more effective in sharing your faith and defending the biblical account of creation.

It would certainly be ideal if you had a thorough answer to every question a skeptic asked, but unless youre Jesus, this just isnt going to happen. Even the most well-informed Christian will occasionally be confronted with a question that stumps them. For those Christians, they could confidently and justifiably reply (when stumped) that no one knows everything and that they have already answered all of the preceding questions. But what about all the other Christians, especially those who feel they are on the exact opposite end of the spectrum, not being able to answer most of the questions (e.g. Carbon-14 dating, the ice-age, dinosaurs, the Big Bang, etc)?

Heres my piece of advice for this month

Dont get so defensive! What do I mean by that? Consider the following most confrontations between Christians and skeptics quickly result in the Christian being put on the defensive. It typically looks something like this: The skeptic makes a claim, the Christian rejects it by making a counter-claim and the skeptic demands proof of the counter-claim.
