Courage

   The character trait of courage very possibly may be the trait that separates great leaders from good leaders.  How would you define or explain courage?  Perhaps you would answer the question by saying courage is  the ability to do something that you know is difficult or dangerous or the mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.  Essentially it is simply acting on what we should do, regardless of any fear we may have. It is the choice to lay aside worry, to do right, to pursue our dreams, and lead the way for others.  
    Courage does not mean there is an absence of fear or the unknown, but fear does not stop you.  “Courage is doing what you’re afraid to do.  There can be no courage unless you’re scared,” according to Eddie Rickenbacker, who was the most successful American fighter ace in World War I and Medal of Honor recipient. Think about this for a while.  Who has exhibited courage to you and why did they come to mind?
