Is It Fact or Fiction? (Part 8)

   In Myth #4 part 1: “Islam Oppresses Women and Forces Them into a Subservient Role.” (From “Myths and Facts about Muslim People and Islam” ADL.org), the writer of this article began by stating “the facts” as:

   “A common perception is that Muslim women are oppressed, discriminated against and hold a subservient position in society. The role and status of Muslim women in society cannot be separated from the role of women in the larger society because women around the world of all races, religions and nationalities face inequality on many levels. Muslim women are not alone in this. The Quran explicitly states that men and women are equal in the eyes of God and forbids female infanticide…”

   I am amazed at the propaganda I hear in the West about women in Islam. The author of this article wrote: “A common perception is that Muslim women are oppressed, discriminated against and hold a subservient position in society.”  I wonder why we never hear of any of these lies in the Muslim world.  Are women oppressed in Islam?  Let me tell you what Mohammed and Allah said about this because that is the real picture of women in Islam.  Mohammed said: “Do not let women into all of the rooms and do not teach them how to write. Teach them to spin and recite Qur’an chapter 24.” Ala&rsquo ...
