The Apostle Paul told us to obey the laws of the nation for the common good of all as found in Romans 13:1, “Let every soul be subject to higher powers: for there is no power but from God: and those that are, are ordained of God.” Laws such as our traffic laws are in place to protect people from accidents; laws such as the law requiring us to use seat belts are for our protection.
