Where Are the Veterans?

Editor, Wisconsin Christian News:

   Where are the Vietnam Veterans of America with 500 chapters and over 75,000 members; Veterans of Foreign Wars, with a membership of over 1.7 million; American Legion, membership of 2 million;  Army and Air National Guard, Reserve associations, retired Enlisted and Officers associations, Afghanistan and Desert Storm Veterans, just to name a few.  The American Legion and VFW have over 18,000 posts in  communities across the country. As our nation is ripped apart, not by protesters, but by anarchists and domestic terrorists, Veteran organizations are, for some reason, very silent.

   Many years ago, I took an oath when I joined the Military. An oath of enlistment for Military service to the United States of America. The oath starts with “I (name) do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC.”  Yes, foreign and DOMESTIC!  I believe this is an oath for that I gave in support of this exceptional country that has given us so much to be thankful for.

   Just the aforementioned Veteran organizations have more than 5 million members. Why have they been so silent? It’s time to STAND UP and be heard. We are the Veterans who served and fought for America.  The NFL and NBA support kneeling while the National Anthem is p ...
