The Language of Division

   The clamor for “social justice” and equality has seeped into our culture and is now at the forefront in most areas of our lives.  However, we need to look back and identify the genesis of the language of division to see the erosion of equality as a nation.

   Generations of immigrants migrated to America from multi-cultural nations.  As they worked for the American Dream and assimilated into the country, they became Americans first, but were still cultural in their ancestry and enjoyed success.

   Over the last couple decades, we have become a hyphenated country, and as a result, think, talk, write and enforce laws accordingly.  Think about it:  we are no longer Americans first and celebrate our group culture as families, but are identified as “Hispanic-Americans,” “African-Americans,” “Cuban-Americans,” etc, chipping away at a nation of equal as one under God with Christian values.  CERTAIN lives matter more than others and we enforce our laws with inequality and call it “Hate Crimes.”  

   We allow civil unrest and destruction to go on for days unchecked.  An article in a newspaper entitled “School Openings See Racial Divide” emphasized racial inquality but at the same time, capitalize the words “Black,&rdq ...
