God's Faithful Confront the Wicked

   Last month, I was in Indiana on the Road Trip for Life with Created Equal. We conducted outreach at Ball State, Purdue, Butler, IUPUI, and Indiana University. During outreach, we had one goal: to see minds changed! We did this by displaying photos of abortion victims and engaging in conversation with students. By the end of the week, over 65 people confirmed that, after speaking to us, they were completely against abortion and thought it should be illegal. There were protesters against us at four of the universities. By the end of the week three signs were broken and one was drawn on.

   We faced the most adversity at Butler University. A fraternity house that was across the street from our designated display area “welcomed” us by blasting explicit music the entire time we were there. They sat on their front porch, watching us and playing songs that were objectifying and degrading like “WAP” by Cardi B for the entire day. It didn’t take long after we set up for people to gather around.  After an hour had gone by, about thirty protesters arrived holding signs that read things like “Get out of my uterus,” “Hoes before embryos,” “Pro-Life equals Pro-Hanger,” and “Women against the patriarchy.”  Instead of having a civil conversation with us to discuss our viewpoints, the majority of the protesters just “flipped us off,” yelled, stood in front ...
