God's Gifts Equal His Grace (Part Five)

   Jesus expresses His compassion for the plight of man and their needs in Matthew 9:35-38.  “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages teaching in the synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom; Repent: for the kingdoms at hand” (Matthew 4:7).  “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish, as those eighteen who died when the pillars of Siloam fell in Luke12:4-5.), and healing every sickness and every disease, among the people.”  

   There is a direct connection between true repentance and how much of His grace we enjoy!   In Matthew 14:14, “Jesus went forth, and saw the multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and He healed their sick.”  Again in Matthew 15:32 Jesus said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with Me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.”  And Jesus seeing two blind men in Matthew 20:30-34, “had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.”

   Continuing in Matthew 9:36-38, “But when He saw the multitude, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd (as the blind leading the blind in Matthew chapters 15 and 23, blind fools!)   ...
