God’s Gifts Equal His Grace (Part Six)

   From the very beginning, even before creation, God’s love for man has moved Him with compassion to work out every detail with mercy to meet our every need.  We read in Hebrews 2:9, 10; “We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man.  For it became Him (chosen of the Father), for whom are all things, and by whom all things” created.  Yes all things were made by Him and for Him.  “And without Him was not anything made that was made” (John 1:1-3).  Continuing in Hebrews 2:10, “For it became Him… in bringing many sons unto glory, to make (Him) captain of our salvation perfect through suffering.”  It always costs one to give mercy to another, and mercy in something no one deserves!

   Yes Jesus, by choice, being one with the Father gave of Himself to pay the price of sin on our behalf, “not willing that any should perish,” “but to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (II Peter 3:9, I John 1:9)  We read in Philippians 2:6-11, “Who, being in the form (3444-totally ) of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form (again 3444-totally) of a servant (Isaiah 42-1 and John 5:30), and was made in the likeness (3667-outward only) of men: And bein ...
