This is What I've Learned...From the Peanut Gallery!

   Are you hard of hearing?  Do you find yourself having to lean in from time to time…to hear the what the Word of God says in regard to criticizing others, over the “thick of thin things?”

   Are you familiar with the term, “The Peanut Gallery?”

   Well if you aren’t, here’s what it means… “It’s the top gallery in a theater where the cheaper seats are located,” and is also defined as “A group of people who criticize someone, often by focusing on insignificant details.”

   The Bible says a thing or two about the peanut gallery and the risk of what sitting in the cheap seats might do! 
 
   The 7th chapter of Matthew says, “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults — unless of course you want the same treatment. For that critical spirit has a way of boomeranging.” 

   And Galatians 6 says, “Live creatively,  friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. For you might be needing forgiveness before the end of this day’s out.”
